CPBigwood voted top of the class by Solihull School

The firm has been appointed to look after the commercial and agricultural investment portfolio.

It is held in trust and comprises retail, offices and land in the Solihull and north Warwickshire area.

Matthew Hill, commercial management director for CPBigwood, said: “We see this as an important role as the income from the properties funds all scholarships and assisted places provided by the school.”

Solihull School has been in continuous existence since 1560, when the chantry revenues of the Chapels of St. Mary and St. Katherine, in the Parish Church of St. Alphege, were used to establish the Foundation.

An independent day school for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18, it has been on its current site at Warwick Road, Solihull, since 1882. There are 1,000 pupils in the school, including 350 girls.

Its most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate report, conducted last year, described the school as “outstandingly successful”.

Mr Hill said: “We are proud to be associated with such a well known and thought of establishment as Solihull School.

“We won the work due to the high level of personal service we can offer at competitive rates. The management was previously dealt with by a well known global property consultancy.

“We look forward to developing our relationship with the school and working with them moving forward to ensure that the full potential of their property assets is realised.”
